This year’s program showcases a range of compositions from the Baroque Period to Modern Film music. These will include the Blue Danube Waltz and Overature to Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss II and selections from Suite No. 3 by Bach. One of our trumpeters, Scott Watson, will feature as a soloist in the Trumpeter’s Lullaby by Leroy Anderson. We are also excited to be doing an arrangement of music from the films Pirates of the Caribbean by Hans Zimmer. Many of the pieces feature dances or dance music from their respective eras. We hope to see you there to share in the joy of music and the coming of Spring.

Back to the Music – Nova Resumes In-Person Rehearsals

It has been nearly two years since the global pandemic put a pause to Nova Musica’s rehearsals and concerts. On November 16th that pause came to an end as members gathered at the Crestwood Community League for our first post-pandemic rehearsal. There were some faces missing and also some new ones to welcome. With Covid-19 safety protocols in place, the board is now optimistic we will be able to meet again weekly and hopefully offer concerts again in the Spring of 2022. If you are interested in joining us, reach out to contact@novamusica.org
